The existing antenna on the building has been removed and a new one installed on an existing concrete pole between the northwest comer of the building and the parking area. This antenna is mounted just above a microwave antenna on the same pole. The coax cable runs from the concrete pole to a pass-through under the eaves on the north side of the building near the double doors into the main shelter area. The coax cable is coiled and stored above the ceiling tiles at the point of entry.
The radio room will be in a storage area (will be empty if the shelter is activated) on the north side of the building near the aforementioned double doors.
This shelter has a generator and power should be available at most times for operating the radios, charging batteries and a light.
Packet
capabilities will be added soon that will include a second antenna and coax.
